Marill is a Pokémon owned by Misty. It is the first Pokémon she caught in the Hoenn region, and her sixth revealed Pokémon.

Pokémon Tales: Brendan[]
In Vs. Azurill, Azurill travels in front of Misty, who's determined to catch it. Misty uses Chinchou to battle it. Chinchou's ineffective Signal Beam reveals that Fairy types resist Bug type moves. Misty managed to defeat Azurill and catch it.
In Vs. Cacturne, Azurill was chosen to battle a wild Surskit. Azurill won the battle, which allowed Misty to capture Surskit.
In Vs. Dusclops 1, Azurill was chosen to battle Phantom's Dusclops, due to being immune to its Ghost type attacks as well as being able to use Splash to reach it on top of the roof of a mansion. It put up a good fight, using a new Water Gun attack, until it was thrown off the roof.
In Vs. Natu, Azurill helped fight off Team Magma's Slugma, and later their Houndour.
In Vs. Sharpedo, Azurill is chosen to battle Marina's Carvanha. It is initially losing, when both Pokémon evolve. Marill uses its new Play Rough to deal super effective damage against Sharpedo, the battle ending in a draw.
In Vs. Kecleon, Marill splashes in a puddle with the other Water Pokémon. It then uses its enhanced hearing to search for a Kecleon, only finding a nest of Zigzagoon.
In Vs. Lanturn, Marill helps Max dive underwater and protect him from wild Gyarados.
In Vs. Wynaut, Marill used its enhanced hearing to help Max find Brendan on Mirage Island. It later made its way back to Misty.
In Daddy Issues: Raising the Prince of the Sea, Marill helps put out some fires.
Pokémon Tales: Battle Frontier[]
In Vs. Wailmer, Marill made a cameo appearance at the Cerulean gym.
Pokémon Tales: Violet[]
In Thrown in Head First, Marill is Misty's first choice in her gym battle against Violet. Marill battles Eevee. Marill uses the water field to roam and has an advantage. After being blinded by Sand Attack, it uses its ears to find Eevee and knock it into the water. It defeats her swiftly after that. Marill is instantly defeated by Oricorio.
