Poliwag is a Pokémon owned by Leaf. It is the first Pokémon caught by Leaf, and her second overall.

To Be a Master: Indigo League

Poliwag debuted in Made for Victory, where it was lured by Leaf's Oddish's Sweet Scent move. It attempted to attack Oddish, however was immobilized by Stun Spore, allowing for Leaf to capture it.

In Time Heals, Poliwag first appears playing with Emerald's Bulbasaur, a wild Poliwag, and Doduo. It later appears battling Team Rocket throughout the episode.

It cameos in Blaze of Honor, training with Emerald's Wartortle.

It later cameos in Blind Fury, playing with Leaf's Gloom.

In Psychic Readings, it exits its Pokéball to cheer up Leaf.
