Sometime prior to Kidd's debut, Thing 2 was taken and placed in Lawrence's Collection. Kidd has been trying to replace it from the collection since.
In The First Move, Thing 2 is shown in a cage at Kodai's compound. Upon seeing Kidd, she desperately tries to get her attention.
In Collision with the Enemy, Thing 2 is in a cage hanging from the ceiling, elated when Kidd comes to rescue her. She is freed from the Collection in the end and reunites with Kidd and Thing 1.
In Vs. Kidd, Thing 2 is Kidd's second choice to battle Crystal and her Happiny. She swiftly defeated Happiny, and went onto battle Pachirisu. Pachirisu was able to block Thing 2's attacks, and deal super effective damage with Iron Tail. When Pachirisu used Thunder, Kidd recalled her before she was defeated. She was chosen again to battle Buizel, where the two pounded at each other. Thing 2 is then defeated by Sonic Boom. This eliminated Kidd from the competition.
In New Moon Shines on the Collector, Thing 1 and Thing 2 battle against Shadow. She defeats Dugtrio before teaming up to battle Gyarados. Gyarados is too strong to face alone, so they fight together. When they are injured by Zapdos, they are defeated by Gyarados.
They are chosen again to battle the Captain and his 2 Dhelmise. They are able to easily outmaneuver and defeat them, then freeze the Captain.
