Necrozma is the central antagonist of the Pokémon Eclipse crossover-fanfiction written by moviemaster8510. Having existed for thousands of years, Necrozma's ultimate goal is to merge as many worlds together as it can for the purpose of ruling over them all.

Upon failing to conquer the land of Equestria (resulting in the creation of Solgaleo and Lunala and the fracturing of its original form), it once again attempts and fails to conquer the Pokémon world after it's defeated by the ancient Alolan Kahunas and the Island Guardian Pokémon. After it is discovered in its tomb by Professor Burnet, it convinces her to help it conquer the world again, the two of them forming Team Prism to enact their plans.

Design[]

Appearance[]

Necrozma takes several forms throughout the story, its original and strongest form taking the appearance of a white dragon made of light covered in gold armor. When separated, Necrozma takes on three other forms, the first appearing as an obsidian-plated humanoid creature with a massive head and large, clawed hands. Once it gains control of Solgaleo and Lunala and imbues it with its remaining power, they become Necrozma's two remaining thirds: Dusk-Mane Necrozma and Dawn-Wings Necrozma, respectively, who bear Solgaleo and Lunala's appearances, though are covered with obsidian armor and given an extra set of limbs bearing Necrozma's likeness.

Personality[]

Though ruthless and megalomaniacal, Necrozma speaks with great charisma and calmness. It's difficult to say how much of Necrozma's personality is present while bonded with Professor Burnet, but as shown before her battle with Kukui and Ilima, Necrozma is shown to not be above playing with its opponents psychologically, shown when it used Burnet to mock her shocked husband.

Etymology[]

When Necrozma speaks, it sounds as though it is speaking in reverse, though its words are still perfectly intelligible.

Biography[]

History[]

Necrozma first appeared in the land of Equestria with the intent to conquer it, its psychic abilities proving too strong for most of its inhabitants to combat against. The two rulers, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, managed to draw from its power to weaken it and create Solgaleo and Lunala to fight against it. The battle resulted in Necrozma, Solgaleo, and Lunala banishing themselves from their world and into the cosmos, where they end up in the Alola region in the Pokémon world.

It is not fully explained what led up to Necrozma's first attempt at conquering the Pokémon world, but Necrozma manages to use its powers to corrupt Solgaleo and Lunala into Dusk-Mane Necrozma and Dawn-Wings Necrozma and lead an army of human/Pokémon hybrids against the natives of Alola. The whole of Necrozma is defeated once again by the combined efforts of the Island Guardian Pokémon and the Kahunas of each island, and they imprison the weakened Necrozma inside Ten Karat Hill on Melemele Island.

Over a thousand years later, Burnet manages to stumble across Necrozma's tomb, and it manages to allure her into helping it with promises of being able to see and explore countless worlds beyond hers. Together, they form Team Prism and take multiple steps over several years to retake the Pokémon world as well as Equestria.

Pokémon Eclipse[]

Necrozma first appears to the Equestrians and their human friends following Sun's defeat at the hands of Sam and Alice Brier, allowing it and Burnet to capture and regain control over Solgaleo and Lunala. After threatening to make off with all of them, Sam, Alice, Hau, and Dexio manage to buy the Equestrians enough time to all escape. En route to the Altar of the Sunne, Team Prism's caravan is intercepted by Hapu, Mina, Tapu Fini, and dozens of wild Pokémon. A battle ensues that results in the humans and a few of the Equestrians to flee. Burnet/Necrozma manage to hold back Sam, leading to Alice and Dexio staying behind to join him. After walking to the Altar of the Sunne, Necrozma restores its lost power from the cosmos into Solgaleo and Lunala, transforming them into Dusk-Mane Necrozma and Dawn-Wings Necrozma before banishing Sam, Alice, and Dexio through an Ultra Wormhole.

Arriving at Ten Karat Hill with the intent to restore Necrozma's powers to its body, Burnet/Necrozma are confronted by the remaining Equestrians and trainers, where it uses its powers to reform its ancient army as well as give a power boost to Burnet's Pokémon, who also join the battle. After Hau manages to defeat Necrozma inside its memories, Necrozma uses most of its strength to allow Dusk-Mane Necrozma and Dawn-Wings Necrozma to attack their opponents with Prismatic Laser, decimating the area. Burnet manages to reach Necrozma's tomb and return its powers to it (taking Burnet's life-force in the process), allowing it to reach its true form once again.

Using the Team Prism grunts to form a new human/Pokémon hybrid army, Necrozma lays seige to Hau'oli City, where the trainers and Equestrians have gathered to battle it. After the trainers and Equestrians defeat Necrozma's army (save for the transformed Dexio) as well as Necrozma, seemingly, Necrozma uses the remains of its army's power to split off into its three other forms, eventually managing to kill Ula'ula Island's Kahuna, Nanu. After Guzma is promptly appointed as the next Kahuna, Necrozma attempts and fails to stop him the other Kahunas from activating the power needed to defeat Necrozma. With help from some of the trainers and other Equestrians, Necrozma is defeated once again, and Solgaleo and Lunala return to the cosmos. Sun then manages to capture Necrozma with a Master Ball, sealing it away forever.
